Okay...So I watched a VH1 special on Eminem tonight...and I have one question.

Am I the only person in America who was cleaning a tuba while watching it?

I have a palm Pilot...I now have a a to do list on me 24/7.

I MIGHT get organized *GASP*

I also have drill all weekend...IN INDIANA!!! Who would have thought that Uncle Sam would have ordered me to go visit my girlfriend :)

On a more serious note I'll be performing at Camp Atterbury for a unit of reservists shipping to Iraq. This will be my first performance with the 122nd Army Band, and it should have a positive impact on the soldiers we're playing for :).

Who knows...maybe me being in the Army will impact more than just my college fund. We'll see if some goofy Tuba Christmas music can put a smile on those going to defend our country. If you want to send an anonymous message to a group of strangers that are going to go risk their lives for all of your liberties and everything you care about give me a call, and I'll let them know that you wish them well.

So I'm all set to post more often. I have an updated version of my client and this time it's even got a working spell check..Right now work sucks, tuba is coming along, and life with Al is GREAT. I'm on the verge of sleep deprivation so it's off to bed.

Hello live journal....

Hello Vernon...you haven't written in a while...

I know...I've been busy.

So busy you couldn't write even once?!

I'm sorry live journal...I promise I'll write...

It's a little late for promises don't you think.

So...guess what everyone...

I AM DONE WITH SCHOOL!!!! No more piano, no more conducting, no more anything. All that's left is one Winds rehearsal and comencement...thsoe things won't exactly be FUN...but that's all that's left and I'm happy.

I'm cuttin' this short cause I'm gonna go be a dork and play Halo with some friends.

For the record...I had a WONDERFUL time this weekend. You should ask me and I'll tell you all about it.

So I've spent the last week teling everyone I know EXACTLY what I think/feel, and what did it get me?...

I was open with just one person and now it's spreading through my life like a flood. Even when I'm just talking to my friends...I find myself saying what I think without hesitation. If somebody doesn't like it that's fine, cause it's me. I'm not sure why it took me so long to figure that out, but at least I did.

Ellaborating on what it's gotten me. It's brought someone who had slipt away from me closer, and while sometimes it hurts to close a chapter of your life; it's brought me a life-long friend. It's also opened a new door...a door to something wonderful, o yeah.

More importantly than anything though...

I'm happy

aaaaaaaa....Spring break. Lots of free time..finally. Except for the projects that my teachers asigned the week before that are due WITHIN THREE DAYS OF GETTING BACK!!!...what is that about. The NOW festival is that week we gte back too. I'm in three ensembles for that, but I'm sure that composition majors are much busier than I am that week so I can't complain TOO much :)....hmmmmI wonder if I'll actually get anything done this week, or if I'll jsut do it all Sunday night.

hmmm...everything I was going to write about seems so old now because I never got around to writing about it on here...o well.

Here we go! Vern has a live journal. Let's see how long it is before I stop remembering to make posts. Just to warn everyone I'll probably type posts on here like I would type on instant messenger so I hope that everyone understands all the smileys...and the overuse of dot dot dot... :)

This weekend was a lot of fun. Actually I think that this weekend has been the most fun that I've had all semester. I went to the Capital Regiment banquet after symphonic winds. I saw some of my old drum corps friends, both members and staff. Even though Brian Kraft wasn't there!!! After he said that he would be....o well. After I was through there I went back to Fairborn to hang out with Andy and some of my Sinclair friends....funny...you wouldn't think that drinking with your friends...AND ONE OF THEIR MOM'S would be so much fun....If any of you reading this know Dave the you should ask him why Doug's mom is so proud of him.

On Saturday I saw my good friend Heather get married. I don't think that I've ever seen her that happy since I met her. I'm very happy for her and Scott(now husband) is a very lucky man.

I went out to DAve and Buster's with Andy & company Saturday night..and finished of the evening asking/answering random questions.

Today's the concerto concert....I'm a bum and was late to set up....Dr. K is gonna hate me of about a week now..but that's ok cause I only have a two day week. Hooray for Thanksgiving. You know....when you really think about it Thanksgiving is a lot like any normal weekend. Except you get a few days off work/school and over do it on turkey instead of beer
